Baker & McKenzie is proud to announce that Donna M. Walwyn, Partner, was recently appointed as a member of the Action Committee on Access to Justice in Civil and Family Matters.

The Action Committee is focused on improving access to the civil and family justice system for all Canadians. It was convened in 2008 by the Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, P.C., Chief Justice of Canada, as a catalyst for meaningful action to justice reform. The Action Committee is a collaborative, consultative and stakeholder-driven initiative.

The Action Committee is chaired by the Honourable Mr. Justice Thomas A. Cromwell. The Right Honourable Beverly McLachlin continues to serve as Honourary Chair. Other members of the Action Committee include William F. Pentney, Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Attorney General of Canada, members of the judiciary from across Canada, and Grant Wedge, Executive Director – Policy, Equity and Public Affairs, The Law Society of Upper Canada.
